Blurb:

Harper Troy, like most students, was working her way through college barely making it by. She hears about an opening at a well known gentlemen’s club, The Guardian, ran by a very well known Chicago Family, the Tarseta’s. Even though the uniform is very revealing and the other waitresses are catty bitches, the money is worth it.
Until she meets the youngest Tarseta, Liam. He’s Chicago’s most eligible bachelor and drop dead gorgeous. She feels an instant attraction. Being a known playboy, Harper fights the attraction and his advances.
Liam has his eyes on Harper the moment he sees her. Being different and not falling for his charms, he is determined to break her down. But Harper refuses to be another notch on his bed post.
Just when Liam is breaking down Harper’s barriers, he learns some shocking news that changes everything. Can he make her see they are meant to be together, or will he lose her forever?

About Amie

AmieNicholsI live in Iowa with my amazing, supportive husband. He is my rock and my king, and treats me like all woman should be treated. (Like a spoiled Queen.)
I have two miniature dachshund's that are my babies, and they love to keep me company when I am writing away on my next WIP.
I'm about to publish my 6th book, and can hardly believe how my life has changed. I'm called an author, and still can't believe it. I've have met some amazing woman on my journey so far, and have learned so much. (Sometimes the hard way.) I've been like a sponge soaking up all the information I can on how the publishing world works. It's been a rollercoaster ride so far with its ups and its downs.
No matter what, I will never regret anything I've done. You can't succeed if you don't try, and if you don't try you won't succeed. One of my favorite quotes "If the dream is big enough the facts don't matter".
Some other info about me, I love my family, friends, wine and anything caffeinated. I also love writing HEA. For the same reason I won't watch a movie that I know will make me cry, (with the exception of Steel Magnolias) I will never write a book without a HEA. There might be a few twists and turns, a cliffhanger or two. But ultimately my stories will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. For me, reading is entertainment, a way to escape this crazy insane world. If a book leaves me feeling sad, mad or gut wrenched, it is not for me. There is enough gut-wrenching sadness in this world, I don't need to read about it too.
I started writing 3 years ago, and have no plans on stopping. So keep your eye on me because with the help of some amazing people and my wonderful fans, this girl is going to be on the New York Times best selling list someday.

HOW DO YOU READ?

The e-reader is no longer a new device. Are you still reluctant to embrace the technology? Have you tried reading on a device? What might be holding you back?

I pose this question because I am among the population that still uses traditionally published books, or real books, as I tend to say in my classroom. However, a lot of my grown-up books are in Kindle form. I still have real books around my house, shoved in every nook and cranny I can find. Plus those treasured signed books from authors I have meet at signings.

But I digress. I am in need of a new Kindle. I have one of the orginal Kindles and loved it from the beginning, even if I was reluctant to use it!  But it died a slow death about a year ago. I do use the Kindle app on my phone and iPad. However, I hate the back light. Maybe it is my old eyes and years of reading, but I have noticed headaches and eyestrain. I think I need to get a new Kindle.

But, which one?

I have looked at the Kindle, 6" E Ink Display and it is the most basic of the Kindles available. It is light weight and small in size. Wifi is available to download books. And with Amazon Cloud, I can still have access to my extensive Kindle ebook  library.  Priced at $69.00, this seems to be a great deal.

My other options are the Kindle Paperwhite, 6" Wifi or Kindle Paperwhite, 6" 3G.  The paperwhite versions are more expensive, but are they worth the extra price? The Wifi version is priced at $119.00, so what makes it so special? Is the higher resolution worth an extra $50?

Personally, the Wifi vs 3G is not a big deal to me. Why? Because I always have my phone and I can easily download a book from there, if needed. But let's be honest. I have hundreds of unread books on my Amazon Cloud. Will I really need to download something in an instant, on the go? Doubtful.

So my friends, I ask you. What type of device do you have and love? Leave a comment and tell me your thoughts.  If you share your opinion in the comments, I will randomly choose one person to receive a $0.99 Kindle ebook of choice!! (Until 6/30 @8PM EST)

Much love,
Ashley

WELCOME!!

Hello Friends,

Welcome to our new blog page! We are excited to be starting this phase of our book blogging fun. The three of us have enjoyed sharing our love of reading with all of you. As you may of noticed, the name of this blog is "Book Crazy Gals", which is different than the current Facebook page.  First, a little background....

Mari, Jessica and I were brought on to Book Cracker Caroline in February/March to be admins on the page. We came in with zero blog experience, just our love of books and wanting to share with others. So we quickly became internet buddies and started working on ARC's, writing reviews and starting to know the followers Caroline had built up.  Over the next few weeks, our contact with Caroline became very limited. We were very unsure what to do, so in typical Ashley-fashion, I took charge. We became responsible for everything happening at BCC, and we had no clue if we were doing anything right! But guess what? You all must have thought so, because we quickly gained a lot of followers.  The three of us just wanted to have fun in the book world, and BCC was our chance to express our love of authors and books to everyone!

Soon, weeks turned into months and still no communication from Caroline.  Jessie was able to contact some family and we thought possibly Caroline would be back soon. We continued to push forward, and spread our love of reading. As you know, we held games, lots of contests and giveaways, and organized two big events - our 4K Rafflecopter and the recent 5K Scavenger Hunt.  Today we sit at 5,100+ followers on the Facebook page!! We  had accomplished so much, and were newbies to this game!  While we were having a blast,  but everything we were doing was very time consuming. Now this next statement may seem selfish but, our accomplishments were not our own, they belonged to Book Cracker Caroline.

Which brings us to now. After a few discussions, Mari, Jessie and I decided to begin a transition phase to our very own, new blog - Book Crazy Gals. The three of us were given very limited access to what could be posted on the BCC Facebook page. We have so many ideas, but no way to accomplish them with the little access we have on Facebook.

So, we are asking that you continue the support you have shown us as we slowly begin to withdraw from Book Cracker Caroline's Facebook page and onto our very own book blog. We will continue to use the BCC Facebook page, but will also be creating posts here, on this website.  Within the next few months, we will start a Book Crazy Gals Facebook page. At that time, we will no longer use BCC.

Thank you for your support and love as we make this difficult but necessary change. We hope to continue seeing many of you around and visiting the same old gals, but at a new hangout.

Much Love,
Ashley, Mari and Jessie
