My new favorite series

My earliest memory of being excited for reading is 4th grade, Garfield Elementary and the school library. I discovered "The Boxcar Children" and was hooked instantly. I devoured the titles our little school had available.

Being involved with the Indie community has changed my life as a reader.  I have read a variety of books, many I have loved, a few I didn't like, even fewer I didn't finish. Every once in a while, a book falls into my lap that tops my personal reading list of favorites. A few have been Crow's Row by Julie Hockley, Consequences by Aleatha Romig,  Collide by Gail McHugh and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover.

I have new book to add to this list:

Fallen Angel, Part 1 by Tracie Podger

Fallen Angel (Part I Book 1)

As a new blogger, I sign up for just about every cover reveal and new release I possibly can. I filled out a form for a novella, Eveylyn, but need to read Part 1 & 2 first. The author offered those to bloggers. I jumped on the chance, because hey, free books, the perks of being a blogger.

I started Fallen Angel, Part 1 in the morning and finished by evening. I was consumed.  I became the stalker fan-girl the indie community allows me to be. Much to my surprise, this book had very few reviews. What? Why? Everyone needs to read about Brooke and Robert!

And now my favorite part of being a blogger, I have a platform that allows me to spout my opinions about books and authors. Am I going to use this platform to help Tracie? You betcha!!

Is everyone going to love this book? No. But I hope you give this new author a chance and meet Brooke and Robert.

GOODREADS REVIEW

Fallen AngelFallen Angel by Tracie Podger

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fallen Angel is a breath of fresh air in the contemporary romance genre. This is not the typical CEO alpha male meets innocent weak girl. No, we have a strong, older British woman, Brooke, not afraid to stand up to Robert, the CEO hottie.

I love the story because it went deeper than insta-love and childish sexy scenes. We witnessed a connection of souls with Brooke and Robert. The reader felt the struggle they both faced while engaging in uncharted territory.
While it has steamy sex scenes, it is real, among adults who love each other.

Robert and Brooke not only tell a story about love, but there is also an underlying mystery. The story has several twists and turns. When you think you have it figured out, a new element comes into play.

In the end, true love and the meeting of soul mates wins out over evil.

Tracie Podger did an excellent job of revving the romance story among the cookie cutter stories readers have become used to. Bravo, well done!
