Driven to Date, Book 7

I felt way too extravagant in the sexy, glittery gold, off-the-shoulder gown the sales woman had chosen. And people kept staring—mostly men. Sigh.

As I entered the ballroom, an usher appeared holding out his black tuxedo-jacket covered elbow. “Friend of the bride or groom?”

“Both.” Placing my hand on his arm, my eyes flicked up to his, and an electric jolt ran through me. Sexy hazel eyes. Dirty-blond hair. And a sensual smile. Ethan’s groomsman was hot. He even had a tan going on even though we were at the beginning of October. Maybe he’d just returned from a vacation. Where he was surfing. Because his upper body told me he used those muscles a lot.

His eyes crinkled as if he could tell exactly what I was thinking. “Since I can’t seat you in the middle of the aisle, why don’t I take you to the best available row? Unless you’re waiting for your date?”
A zing heated my belly. This guy was smooth.

“He’s coming later.” I tilted my head, smiling back at him. The lie had rolled off my tongue easily, because this guy screamed bad boy and I had enough problems.

I love the series and always quick at reading them as I know they release. The better date than never is always a sweet, quick read, that leaves you oohing and aahing. Susan never fails to have me connecting with the characters. Each heroine is always dealing with an emotional past that has them to scared of opening up and connecting with their true loves at start. I personally know how hard it is to open up when you have been hurt my someone in the pass. The insecurities and self doubts that have you pushing away instead of pulling towards it. In this box set with me two amazing lawyers, Jill and Ryan. You can feel the chemistry instantly when they first meet at a mutual friends wedding. Yet some issues arise and of course our heroine makes it hard for the hero. Yet Ryan remains persistent and sneak man that he is finds the patience to wait for her. This is what we discover in Driven to date. What happens when you let go of the reigns and stop being so driven? Than up next we have Up to Date. How I wish I had the skill to redesign a home, maybe this way I would get lucky like Ginger and have the man who first stole my heart at a club bid for me. Lol. You must read to catch what I mean. But at last she as well is stubborn and allows her past to turn away from a guy who sees her as a sunrise. And ladies Greg will definitely have you melting. Who doesn't wish a doctor to set his eyes on you especially one sexy as hell. Well join me on their journey to see what happens. I know I laughed, got sad, and then smiled as Ginger worked her way to true love. If stops one and two don't have you already sighing over the hunks who are patiently waiting for their heroine to come around, Susan gives us two more wonderful stories. Melinda in Deja Date was just amazing. I admire how she turned her life around and let her childhood mold her to be a strong female. But she as well had her insecurities. What female does not? Than a blast from the past comes to help her through it. Let's walk down memory lane with Melinda and see reconnecting with Nate and his dad Bernie will bring happiness back to her and her mom. Yep this story has not one but two love stories. ;) Last and I have to say I love her story the best. I was glad to discover it in this set. I couldn't believe I had missed one. Date and Dash had it all for me. I was laughing at Mary Ann's errors through out the story. But she also charmed me and reminding me about my grandma. Her way of meeting our hero Trevor was comical to say the least. Than her whole one strike baseball metaphor is awesom. Who here has not at one point compared their love life to some way with baseball whether on dating or the intimacy form. Their path to love was both public in theory and life. I held my breath at trying to figure out why Susan gave us so many twist, but at the end the story came to a beautiful conclusion. This box set is compiled of books 7-10 but you don't have to read the others to enjoy these four. However, if your like me and enjoy these you will want to rush to one click books 1-6 that are also in a box set of their own. I am glad that one day I discovered this amazing series and got hooked. I look forward to more better date than never books. As we always discover a new character that touch our hearts.
